The Hanover Ladies Aid is planning to cook apple butter (2 kettles) on Saturday, Septmeber 27. Preparation day will be Thursday, September 25 when the apples will be made into sauce.
We need many helping hands for this project, including men to tend the fires and for stirring. The apple butter will be provided for the sausage suppers and also for sale.
Meat and drinks will be provided for lunch on both days. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share.
Donations of sugar are gladly accepted.
We greatly appreciate your help for this project.

Hanover Women's Retreat
The Hanover Women's Retreat will have a short meeting on Sunday, September 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Meeting Room. If you would like to help at the Women's Retreat scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in our new activity center, then please be sure to attend this short meeting. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact Pat Renner.
Potter's Clay
Potter's Clay is an inter-congregational LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League) group. Potter's Clay is made up of women from the Lutheran churches in the Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Scott City, Gordonville, and Egypt Mills churches. Meetings are held at various member churches. Meetings consist of programs or mission projects. Bible studies are held in the homes of members following the LWML Quarterly.
Meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month and Bible studies are on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held in the evenings to accomodate working woman. A babysitter is provided at the regular meetings but not for the Bible study.

Laidies Aid at the Park
The Laides Aid/LWML of Hanover will meet on Wednesday, June 11 at 12:00 noon at Shelter #20 in Cape county Park South. The fried chicken and hot dogs will be furnished, bring picnic type food for potluck lunch.
The 20th Biennial LWML Convention in St. Charles MO will be June 6 - 8, 2008 with two ladies attending as delegates.

Lutheran Women In Mission
The Hanover Ladies Aid meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

All women of Hanover Lutheran church are invited to become a member and be a part of this important organization.
Since 1919 the Ladies Aid Society has been the active women's organization at Hanover Lutheran Church. Membership is currently 40 strong, all of whom are committed to the support of the various programs of the Hanover congregation, and those of several other church-related and community organizations.
The mission statement of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. In addition, "Our mission is to glorify our Savior in our living and by our serving."
Through the collection of MITES in our Mite Boxes, our support is given to mission projects here in this country and world-wide.
