Wallboard!

The wallboard is going up quickly!

An Eagle Project (or 3)

Here is a photo of the pavilion built by Garrett Sprenger as an Eagle project, which is now located directly behind the new men's sausage building (which is directly behind our new building).

This pavilion is in font of the entrance of the hiking trail which was built as an Eagle project by Quinten Kelley.

Gregory Springer is working on his Eagle project which consists of 10 oak picnic tables, lights and ceiling fans, along with water accessibility at the pavilion. He is looking for donations to finish this project in the amount of $400, The donations will go toward buying more lumber and the polyurethane used to help preserve the wood.

For all $50 contributions, a name plate recognizing the donation will be attached to a picnic table.

Saturday Meals for Laborerers

Saturday potluck meals for the Laborers for Christ will not be held for the next three weeks as the Laborers are taking a break due to the building being dry walled.

Building up Walls

Sometimes, building up walls is not all that bad!
Did you notice that a few weeks ago the roof was added? Now there is protection from the sun while working.

Holy Graffiti Party

What a wonderful time was had by all at our special Holy Grafetti Party hosted by the Laborer's for Christ. We thank them for this special time together and for the food they provided.

As diners enjoyed fellowship with each other, everyone was welcome to place their holy marking upon the structure with permanent marker. God's Word was proclaimed all over the place! Tracings of children's hand and bodies made one smile.

Progress on the building is ahead of schedule and there is prospect that it will be ready for the sausage supper the first weekend in November. You can see siding and brick.

The First Plywood

Laborers for Christ were commissioned in our early service on July 20, 2008.

Six people arrived on Saturday to help the Laborers in building.
We encourage everyone, no matter their abilities, to volunteer of their time to help in the building.

This week we see the first plywood, along with more wooden framing.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

God blesses us with Laborers For Christ

More Laborers For Christ have moved in behind the new construction. What a blesssing they are to us. Not only are they invaluable in their help in construction, but having their presence in fellowship and to worship with them is blessing us in ways unimaginable.

The first signs of wooden walls can be seen! A good number of church members showed up on Saturday to work with the Laborers.

Help from church members (or anyone) is welcome anytime on Tuesday through Saturday. Just drop by and volunteer for an hour or two or all day.

Church members will be providing a noon day meal each Saturday. Volunteers to serve meals are also welcome.

Concrete is Poured!

How exciting to see the concrete all shiny and new! The new parking lot should be open soon!

A Steel Frame (& a buggie or two?)

Is this the 21st century? I was not sure when I pulled into the parking lot this morning and saw not one, but two horse and buggies!

I found a bit of irony that they were parked in front of a huge construction vehicle.
What a difference a week makes! Now the imaginations of how it will be in our minds are really taking shape into reality!

I greatly appreciate the weekly reports we are receiving during our worship service. Knowing what to anticipate makes it all the more exciting.

Be sure to listen to Vicar Kobak's sermon as he speaks of steel!

And then there was steel!

Beginning in late June the Laborers for Christ will be working on Saturdays. Members will be asked to help where and when they can on those Saturdays. The congregations is asked to supply lunch for all who work on Saturdays during construction.

Faithful volunteers will be calling ALL members of the congrgation to help provide meals for womever is working on Saturday. Please expect to be called and asked how you are willing to help.

Volunteer Laborer Agreements and Health History Forms for all those who work on the building are available in the church office.

On Wednesday, June 5th, the first steel pieces were erected! Whooo hooo!

Plumbing Work!

These are recent photos of our building work taken June 1, 2007.
The plumbing work has progressed!

Here is a quick (rather silent) video of the site.
